THERESA LAVINGTON, a NYC based choreographer, dance teacher, and event
director with over 25 years of experience.
Well known for teaching master dance classes at SummerStage, hip hop/cardio dance classes for Fordham University, Plus One, Crunch, New York Sports Club, Equinox, and New York Health & Racquet Club. In addition, Theresa has
appeared and participated in demos for upcoming fitness and dance classes
on Telemundo, WB11 News, CBS Morning News, and Fox 5 Good Day New York.
In 2015, NY1 News named Theresa, “New Yorker of The Week”, for her tireless
work providing free dance classes to many of our youth.
Her credits as a choreographer includes: Fordham University Dance Team, Music Festival at Bergen Community College, La Sara, Eric Redd, Von Sway (winners of BET's 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday), Anastasia Koss, Reggae/Hip Hop artist Rayvon, BMCC Dance Team, Bally's Performance Team, Revlon Run/Walk, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and Fashion Week at Capezios, NYC.
Without limiting herself to dance and choreography, Theresa has created a talent show for kids ages 7 through 18 to perform, and express themselves through their talent to maximize their artistic potential. Theresa is the Founder, Host, and Event Director of 'Strut Ya Stuff' Talent Contest for Kids. She is excited, and looking forward in the near future, to create a talent contest for adults as well, while continuing her passion to teach others to dance, and follow their dream.
